Work Update - Adding Content to Evernote and Tagging It Accordingly

Work Period: Jul 28 & 29, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:10 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $32.03*
(*Exclusive of $3.56 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Evernote Related Work Update:
  • Watched the video you recorded for Evernote task. In fact, watched it twice to understand it better.
  • Also found some problems / issues when following your instructions:
    • I don't have access to the tags (placeholders) "what" "when" and "who"
    • Also I can't use all of your saved tags, I can use only a few tags that you've already used in the shared notebook.

    • Here is the list of all tags that you have shared with me:
    • However, it is possible to add new tags into the tags library, so please let me know if it's okay to add more tags.
  • I have also watched the other video where you asked me to upload your simpleology content into the Evernote. Since I am still confused how to go with the tags (as I said earlier that I have access to only a few tags and if I add more tags from my own judgement, it can mix all tags together) so I am just uploading these items to a newly created note book and without any tags.
  • Thanks for providing me quick feedback on this. Based on the provided feedback I have added more tags into the tags library. But still I was not able to tag new notes (exported from Simpleology) because If I add a new note into the "Shared Notes" folder, I can only used tags that you have shared with me.
  • Next Idea is to create a new Notebook, add more content to it and then tag it with new phrases. It worked until here, but when I moved these notes to the "Share Notes" folder, I lost all tags.
  • So now I am adding all notes to a new notebook and shared that with you. Hopefully this will work fine because I didn't find any other working method for doing this.

List of Dare Page and Hotjar Update:
  • Removed the free dares auto-responder banner from the right hand column and placed within the content.

  • Then created a new heat-map on Hotjar to track this banner's activity.
  • Also added the same banner on the following pages:
    • Dares for Truth or Dare
    • Dares for Truth or Dare-1
    • Dares for Truth or Dare-2
    • Dares for Truth or Dare
    • Sleepover Truth or Dare

Hours Worked: 5:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $16.80*
(*Exclusive of $1.87 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Proofreading Project Update:
  • Hannah has submitted the pending files that were send to her for proofreading, but there were no changes within any of the submitted files so I asked her to confirm whether these documents did not require any proofreading at all or she has submitted wrong files.
  • Later she submitted the correct folder which has the updated files. So I reviewed those files, organized and saved them into appropriate folders.
  • Prepared the next batch of files and sent to her for proofreading.

Transcription Project Update:
  • Abi has submitted some of the pending transcripts, so I have reviewed them and sent all these files to Hannah for proofreading.

Content 2.0 Administration Support:
  • Received some short C2 submissions on party games site. Since all of them were single liner dares so I added them into Great Dares for Guys and Girls
  • One of them is a long story, which I send to Hannah for proofreading.

Other Administrative Support:
  • I have prepared another email draft regarding FBI form responsiveness issue and send the email to Sitesell support.
  • In a work update video where you highlighted the text and images on the How to Get Girls page going beyond the vertical ruler, I have checked this page with all three browsers and I am not having any alignment issues like you have. Perhaps, you need to refresh the page to see it correctly. Please visit the page once again and let me know if you are still experiencing the same issue.
  • I have also removed the Facebook commenting widget and Auto-responder signup form from this page.
  • Thanks for providing feedback for some pending work updates, I have made necessary changes and  published all reviewed work updates.

Website Content Building Support:
  • Uploaded the following pages to party games site:
    • How to Get Hot Girls
    • How to Get More Girls to Play Truth or Dare
    • Truth or Dare Dimensions
  • With that I have uploaded all parts of the proofread interview.
  • Also linked all of them back and forth.
  • Note that all pages are nofollow noindex.
  • Introductory paragraph is also missing for each page.
  • Also take care of the meta information of all pages.
  • The introduction page is already published as a tier 2 page (Truth or Dare Party). However, I have made the suggested proofread changes to the live page. Please review and let me know if you still need any changes.

Work Update - Website Design Fixes and Administrative Support

Work Period: Jul 09 & 10, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:30 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $33.08*
(*Exclusive of $3.68 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Website Design Fixes and Administrative Support:
  • Since I ran out of high priority tasks, so I have moved to Ideal-Helper design fixes as a low priority task.
  • I am also reviewing and fixing site design for mobile view as there are a lot of issues with regard to mobile responsiveness.
  • BB1 to BB2 conversion service page was not responsive at all because we have used so many call-out boxes and images supported with HTML, so I have now changed around 70% of the design of the page. Please have a review of it and let me know if you need any further changes.
  • Found another bug about the design template we are using for Ideal-Helper. FBI forms are not responsive and broken when you view them on mobile devices. I think we should escalate this issue to SBI! technical team. Please let me know if I should send them an email about this bug.

Truth or Dare Party Pages Update:
  • Started building the Truth or Dare Party pages to party games site and already have built the following seven pages:
    • Let's Play Truth or Dare
    • Party Invitation Ideas
    • Preparation for a Party
    • Good Dares for Truth or Dare Party
    • Dare Ideas for Girls
    • Fun Truth or Dare Questions
    • Asking you Guests for Harder Dares
  • Note that there are still three pages left to be uploaded.
  • Also built all these pages as 'nofollow' and 'noindex'

Work Update - Virtual Administrative Support

Work Period: Jul 07 & 08, 2015
Hours Worked: 11:00 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $34.65*
(*Exclusive of $3.85 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Virtual Administrative Support:
  • Moved the invitation gif banner slightly higher on the list of dares page.
  • Watched the video where you discussed and asked me to use some project management software, I am 100% okay to use any software. In the past we have used Producteev with Jomvie, so please tell me a bit more about how you want me to proceed with this and what software you are aiming at the moment.
  • Also watched the other part of the video where you discussed the BB2 conversion follow up emails and reviewed your hand-written notes. Actually I am little confused about what to write in the follow up email. It will be helpful if you explain the content of the email in detail.
  • Watched the video about the Hemingway app. Also read the SBI! forum post about this topic. I checked out the application and found it very good. It can definitely help us improve the existing content.
  • I have tried to Get the content 2.0 HTML code from the Integrate SBI!'s Built-in Functions, but I am still not able to include the JavaScript provided by the HotJar.
  • Watched other work update feedback videos and published all reviewed work updates.
  • Created a copy of existing contact us form and replaced it on the BB1 to BB2 Conversion Service Page. Also added virtual assistant email as a CC in the contact email settings.
  • In an audio email you have asked me to create another Hotjar account with virtual assistant email, but this email is already in use. When you created the initial account, you sent me an invitation to join using that email.

Christmas Truth or Dare Page Update:
  • First of all changed the "How to get girls eBook" thank you page to one column layout.
  • Then created a clone of the same page and made necessary changes as you asked in the high priority video.
  • Please have a review of it  and let me know if you still need some changes.
  • Then cleaned up the paypal buy button on the Christmas Truth or Dare  page.
  • Perhaps some call to action text still required above each buy now button.

Keyword Research:
  • Brainstormed keywords for the interview transcripts. Please review and let me know if you need any changes.

Work Update - Website Broken Link Check

Work Period: Jul 06, 2015
Hours Worked: 5:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $16.80*
(*Exclusive of $1.87 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Broken Link Check:
  • Checked both sites for broken links and fixed all such links.
  • On the Voice Transcription page, catch for android link is broken for some times now. As I already have reported this issues that catch has shut down their services and now the link is down for many months, so I suggest to remove this link from the page.

Hotjar Heatmap Update:
  • As you asked me in an email to click the list of dares invitation banner several times and see whether Hotjar tracks this activity or not, I have successfully experimented the case and hotjar successfully tracks all clicks as shown in the image below.
  • After that, I deleted this heatmap experiment and created a new heatmap to track links again. I think we should put this banner within the content in order to increase the click through rate.

Proofreading Project Update:
  • Prepared and sent batch number 10 for proofreading.

Linkbuilding Spreadsheet Update:
  • Edited the link-building spreadsheet with the updated status of each item.
  • Reviewed and removed all those links where we cannot submit a comment or they are not accepting comments.
  • Researched more linkbuilding items and put into the spreadsheet.

Breadcrumb Task Update:
  • Started building breadcrumb navigation on the given SBI! site, but soon I found difficulties in order to determine the correct parent tier pages of the site. I have sent you a detailed email in this regard and will resume the task after the further clarification.

Work Update - Hotjar Project Update

Work Period: Jul 02 & 03, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:00 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $31.50*
(*Exclusive of $3.50 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Hotjar Project Update:
  • Removed all occurrences of "Printable Dares Poll" on the party games site.
  • Cleaned up the form data by removing the duplicate entries and kept only one entry per IP address.
  • Here are the final results after cleaning up duplicate entries:

  • Created a new heatmap for list of dares page. Not sure why it doesn't work when you create a heatmap. Perhaps next time try creating a heatmap by excluding the Http:// from the page URL.
  • I have improved the list of dares C2 thank you page a bit, added eBook image and highlighted some font colors. I think that still it should be improved even more in order to get a reasonable conversion rate.
  • As you asked in your feedback email, I have created 3 variations of the List of Dares banner. Please have a review of folder "List-of-dares Banner" (Saved within the High priority folder).
  • Note that one of these banner is animated gif banner, which I have implemented on the list of dares pages.

  • Read and reviewed all Hotjar links that you sent me via email. I don't think that we can track SBI forms with Hotjar, because I have created another form-tracking for the Truth or Dare stories page and that is still not working.
  • Based on one of their article, in which it is advised to use Javascript to handle form submission, I don't think this is applicable either. With this method, we have to include a small detail of Javascript within the exiting form code, but with SBI forms we don't have access to any of the form's code so we cannot add that detail there.
  • There is another possibility to copy form's HTML source code and then paste it manually to the BB2 page (using a Raw HTML block), but that solution is also not working because SBI uses different type of JavaScript and we cannot edit that according to Hojar's suggested method.
Other Administrative Support:
  • Finished reading the C2 guide.
  • On the Ideal-Helper homepage, there were some image-text broken occurrences (only in mobile view) so I fixed all call-out boxes by using responsive grids.
  • Also moved all callout box images from right to left because on mobile devices, lef side of the grid block is always on the top of the right block.

    • Truth or Dare Pics (Party Games Site)
    • Truth or Dare Questions (Party Games Site)
    • Dares for Truth or Dare  (Party Games Site)

Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
  • Received a short submission on party games site. Since the post was too short to be published alone, so I have submitted that as a comment under Funniest Dare List - Read and Share Funny Dares Here

Hotjar Project Update:
  • Created a new funnel within the Hotjar for list of dares content 2.0 form.
  • Then created a banner to place at the top of the right hand column. Although you asked me to use the old image, but the quality of the image was not good enough so I created a new banner for this.
  • Made a jump tag link to the content 2.0 invitation on the same page.
