Work Update - HotJar Project Update

Overview
Work Period: Jun 23 to 29, 2015
Hours Worked: 26:40* @$3.50/hour
*14 hours worked on BB2 Conversion project

Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $84.00*
(*Exclusive of $9.33 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Hotjar Project Update:
  • Regarding the email in which you asked me to investigate that how far we can go with Hotjar free version. I have checked their website and found that with a free account you can only create 3 polls, 3 surveys and funnels. Basic account only records 2000 page views per day whereas with a paid account, you can track up to 10,000 page views per day. All these details are clearly explained within their pricing comparison as shown in the image below.
  • Created new heatmaps for Truth or Dare stories and party games site homepage.
  • Researched some banner creation gigs over Fiverr. Please have a review of Fiverr Banner Gigs in the high priority folder.

Content 2.0 Administrate Support:
  • Published a transcribed and proofread bloglet to Ideal-helper.
  • Also illustrated it with one image and archived it for future use.
  • Published another transcribed and proofread document as a content 2.0 post.
  • Submitted another proofread and transcribed bloglet.

C2 System Pages Update:
  • Unfortunately my latest experiment with C2 system pages has been failed, so I have reverted back all changes.

Christmas Dare Project Update:
  • Created Back sides of both Truth or Dare Christmas cards. Please review:
    1. Dare_Back.pdf
    2. Truth_Back.pdf
  • Also made all other changes that you asked in one of the recently recorded work update feedback videos. However, final touch-up is required in order to make the finished product nicer and cleaner.

Proofreading Project Update:
  • Created the next batch of files for proofreading and sent to Hannah for proofreading

Work Update - BB2 Conversion Update

Overview
Work Period: Jun 22, 2015
Hours Worked: 5:10 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $16.28*
(*Exclusive of $1.81 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

BB2 Conversion Update:
  • Converted the first 3 highlighted pages from BB1 to BB2 and sent back for review.

Proofreading Project Update:
  • Prepared batch number 08 of proofreading files and sent to the editor.

HotJar Funnel Update:
  • Listened to the audio where you asked me to investigate why Hotjar funnel is not working. I have researched and read the Faqs about setting up funnel. Also created another funnel to check it's working or not. Signed up to the form twice to see, but no changes made to the funnel interface. Although, it has collected 180 sessions, but still showing 100% drop-off.

  • Then I investigated the tracking code on Thank you pages and found out that it was not properly set up on the system pages as it wasn't checked on head section as shown in the image below.
  • I have now included the code on the Thank you page, and its also working now as you can see in the image below.

  • I also suspect that this was also the case why Thank you pages did not adapt the new design layout. Although the changes are not being implemented yet, but I am pretty hopeful that now it will work. I will check and update you on another point of time.

Work Update - Christmas Truth or Dare Cards Update

Overview
Work Period: Jun 18 & 19, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $32.55*
(*Exclusive of $3.62 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Christmas Truth or Dare Cards Update:
  • Finished creating all Truth or Dare Christmas cards, please have a review of Christmas Dares Product folder.

Dropbox YouTube Video Update:
  • Abi has transcribed the Dropbox video transcript. I have formatted it and then uploaded to the YouTube Dropbox video.

Transcription Support:
  • Abi has also transcribed and submitted most of the pending audios, so I have forwarded all of them for proofreading after reviewing them.
Other Administrative Support:
  • Watched more work update feedback videos and published all reviewed work updates.
  • Noticed something very strange on the party games site. The website header was sort of strange and I was not able to understand why this happened because I didn't changed anything from the design and I assume that you've also not changed anything.
  • I quickly found a fix by removing the additional header image, but after implementing that, it was also removed from the C2 and FBI thank you pages.
  • The footer was also placed twice on the thank you pages, so I have fixed that as well.
  • In one of the high priority video you asked me to investigate the email about the SSL certificate you sent me some days ago. I couldn't find anything relevant within the SBI forums. However, as the email was sent by a Sitesell email domain, it looks trust-worthy.
  • I am not sure that whether you have installed this certificate in the past or not. If yes, then it is necessary to remove old certificate before installing the new software.
  • Regarding your question about the current status of C2 merged stories task, the task has been finished and I have merged and built all merged pages.
  • About another audio file, where you have asked me about hosting adult sites on Inmotion hosting, I already have provided you feedback in another work update. Please review "Work Update - Adsense Alternate Ads and Experiments Update"
  • Listened to other audio files and made necessary changes, some of them were obsolete and do not require any action.
  • Since I don't have any high priority videos left, therefore I moved to fixing of ideal-helper pages after the design changes.

Work Update - Creation of Custom Responsive Adsense Banners

Overview
Work Period: Jun 16 & 17, 2015
Hours Worked: 9:30 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $29.93*
(*Exclusive of $3.33 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Adsense Custom Responsive Ad banners Update:
  • Watched the video that you recorded about using Adsense responsive ads in your mobilized site.
  • Read the related SBI forum post and successfully created a responsive ad unit.
  • I have used this ad on the index-1 page where you will see a 336x280 ad unit on the desktop version, whereas a 250x250 ad unit on the mobile devices.
  • I will ad this Adsense unit into the Google Analytics experiments, but at the moment all experiments are running. I will split test this unit as soon as one of the experiments is finished.

Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
  • Formatted and published a newly received submission. Although the visitor has also submitted some images with this submission, but images were not original so I have removed them all. Please have a review of The Hanging Wedgie of a Lifetime.
  • Since the story has less than 300 words, therefore I merged it into another page Funny Wedgie Stories.
  • Also received the other story after proofreading. I already have published the story, but now I have replaced the old content with the proofread content. Please have a review of A walk in the park.

Hotjar Project Update:
  • Watched both videos that you recorded for this Hotjar and also read the SBI forum post.
  • Since the heatmap you've created wasn't collecting data, so I have successfully created a new heatmap which is collecting data correctly.

Christmas Dares Project Update:
  • Thanks for clarifying the points which were not clear earlier, I have now separated all dares and truth cards.
  • Then spun all cards randomly.
  • Created separate worksheet for Truths similar to Dares. (Not finished yet. I will let you know when I finish this project)

Other Administrative Support:
  • Watched more work update feedback videos, made all necessary changes and then published all reviewed work updates.
  • Regarding the task where you asked me to check categories of similar Time-tracking software videos, most of them also use 'How-to and style'. 2nd most used category is 'education'.

Work Update - Adsense Alternate Ads and Experiments Update

Overview
Work Period: Jun 11 & 12, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $32.55*
(*Exclusive of $3.62 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Adsense Alternate Ads and Experiments Update:
  • Created alternate ads for all ad units and sizes
  • Uploaded all ad files to Site-central
  • Then set up all alternate ads for all Ideal-helper ad units on the Google Adsense account.
  • Thanks for informing me regarding finished Adsense experiments, I have chosen the winners from all finished experiments and Also updated the Adsense Split testing spreadsheet.
  • In the same video you have also highlighted another issue that was related to the available Adsense balance, which was nil. Now it has been updated and I guess that there was some temporary issue when you were visiting the site.

Zopim and Disqus Project:
  • Watched the long video in which you discussed zopim task and also asked to review and provide feedback for using Disqus on Ideal-Helper pages.
  • I have read the whole forum post about the Facebook vs. Disqus. Both have their own pros and cons. The biggest pro in favor of the Disqus is that you can comment with many services and you are not bound to only use your Facebook account. However, there is some criticism that it can increase the page load time. Another feature which I really like is that we can edit those comments submitted through Disqus.
  • Regarding zopim task where you asked me to sent replies to old emails, I am little confused about this task, actually all emails that you sent me are older than 6 months. In fact, some of them are older more than a year. So don't you think that it's too late to reply to those emails?
  • Besides that, I am regularly keeping myself online via Zopim. Also encountered a  visitor who was seeking help in order to create a slideshow header for his site. Since it was not possible for him to implement and use our Slideshow method, I referred him to UpWork to hire a professional programmer. Unfortunately, UpWork's affiliate link doesn't work anymore.

Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
  • Received a wedgie story with an original image submitted by a visitor. I have published the story after little formatting. Also added the story link to the commenting spreadsheet. Although the story has less than 300 words, but I didn't add a noindex tag assuming that it will surpass the word count after your comment.
  • Received another submission but that needs to be proofread before publishing, so I forwarded it to the proofreader.

Hubstaff Page Update:
  • Thank you so much for providing detailed feedback about the Hubstaff blueprint document. Based on your feedback, I have taken different screenshots and put into the document.
  • Also made and implemented other changes that you asked in the video.

Other Administrative Support:
  • Watched some more work update feedback videos, made necessary changes and published all reviewed work updates.
  • Although we haven't heard back from Sitesell support team so far, but the issues seems to be fixed now. The Advantages of Outsourcing page that I referred to them as an example is 100% fixed and there is not broken image / text now.
  • Read the new SBI forum post about the page speed optimizations.
  • I have researched Inmotion hosting Faqs about the adult content and as per this research they do not allow adult content on their servers.
  • Also thanks for providing feedback on the Christmas card templates, I have started building new cards based on your feedback. I will let you know soon as I finish this task.

Work Update - Zopim Task Update

Overview
Work Period: Jun 09 & 10, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:10 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $32.03*
(*Exclusive of $3.56 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Zopim Task Update:
  • Watched the video in which you explained the Zopim task in brief.
  • You've asked me to remove the zopim chat feature from mobile devices. The source code for zopim chat script is placed in the Head section of the site, so it's not possible to hide this from mobile-view. I have researched forums, found and implemented a code that will hide this. However, the changes have not been implemented so far. Will review and update you again in a day or two.

BB2 Conversion Support:
  • Created a BB2 conversion reply and sent to the client, you were also copied to the email as a BCC.

Google Page Speed Optimization:
  • As you advised in one of the high priority videos, I have worked on the pages that have high page load speed. I have worked on the changes that are applicable by me, but some of the suggestions I cannot implement and should be escalated to SBI support. Please have a review of Page Speed Optimization.docx before we forward all pending issues to the support team.

Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
  • Sent the newly received C2 story for proofreading.
  • Since the visitor has also submitted her email address, therefore I have published the story live and will replace it's content once it gets proofread.
  • Did not distribute it on RSS blog so far.

Other Administrative Support:
  • About a high priority video where you have discussed the link building spreadsheet and was worried about the lost transcriptions, I have already submitted those transcript to the related pages. From now onwards, I will update the spreadsheet with it's latest status.
  • Watched the video about Disqus and also read the SBI! post about Facebook vs Disqus.

Work Update - Proofreading Project Update

Overview
Work Period: Jun 08, 2015
Hours Worked: 5:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $16.80*
(*Exclusive of $1.87 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Proofreading Project Update:
  • Prepared and sent the next batch of proofreading.
  • Also sent an email and offered her for a possible Skype interview. Also got a reply from her. She is happy to have a Skype call with you and has proposed an hourly rate of $10/hour for this interview. Please share your thoughts and feedback about this project.

Other Administrative Support:
  • Read the forum post about the Inmotion hosting and also reviewed their website. Based on the features showcased on their website, I really find it a good option if you're looking to start a WordPress blog in near future. I've also reviewed some of their customer testimonials and reviews, and most of them are positive and customers especially appraised their customer support department.
  • Watched the long video in which you explained the content building process. Although I already have a lot of knowledge of information about the process, but it was really helpful to revise this concept because we discussed the process way too back (when we started Ideal-helper).
  • Sent the audio file that you recently recorded to Abi for transcription.
  • Thanks for explaining and helping me to locate the interview folder, I have divided the document into several parts and will send it to Hannah for proofreading.
  • I have also updated the PPG budgeting spreadsheet with the subscription purchase amount for all pending months.
  • Added the information regarding the unused ebooks into the Pending for Review.xlsx. Also updated the spreadsheet and removed the items those you already have reviewed and validated.

Work Update - Virtual Assistance and Administrative Support

Overview
Work Period: Jun 04 & 05, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:30 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $33.08*
(*Exclusive of $3.68 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
  • Merged multiple stories into more single content 2.0 pages:
    • Your Evil Dare Stories
    • Cross dressing dare stories
    • Reader's Collection of Truth or Dare Stories

Other Administrative Support:
  • Worked on the page speed optimizations for all three sites and implemented all workable solutions. However, there are still some propositions that are on the technical end and I cannot work and implement those propositions.
  • Watched the other part of our Skype call. There was not much to implement because most part of the video contained pure discussions about different projects.
  • As discussed in the Skype call, I have created 3 versions of combo dare cards, please have a review of it and let me know your feedback on this.
  • Watched some of the work update feedback videos and published all reviewed work updates.
  • As you asked me to check and fix the video responsiveness on all party games site page, I already have added the responsive video code to all Tier pages, but now I have also checked and implemented the code on all content 2.0 pages that have a video embedded on it.
  • Some videos have been removed from the YouTube so I have also replaced the video code with the usual call-out box.
  • It was little tough because most of the merged pages are broken when you browse them through mobile, I have tried a lot to find out what was wrong, but couldn't find any wrong coding on any of the merge pages.
  • The solution was really simple (but hard to implement), I had to rebuild all merged pages in order to show them correctly on mobile devices.
  • Found another bug on party games content 2.0 pages. There was no navigation block on either of the content 2.0 pages, so I fixed this issue as well.

  • Brainstormed keywords related to the topic 'web content editor/proofreader'. Please have a review of future blog posts folder.

Work Update - Website Administrative Support

Overview
Work Period: Jun 02 & 03, 2015
Hours Worked: 9:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $29.40*
(*Exclusive of $3.27 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

    • Growing Scary Games Collection
    • Scary Games for Halloween
    • Strip Poker Stories
    • List of Truth or Dare Questions
    • Best Truth or Dare Videos
    • Kissing Stories
    • Funny Truth or Dare Stories
    • Truth or Dare Girl Stories
    • Licking Dare Stories

    • Truth or Dare Questions -1
    • Truth or Dare Pics
    • Adult Truth or Dare
    • List of Dares
    • Dares for Truth or Dares
    • oDesk team application on Ideal-helper
    • Flea Page on the PPG site
    • House page on the PPG site
    • Red hat page on the PPG site
    • Kitchen page on the PPG site

Other Administrative Support:
  • Finished the Hubstaff blueprint, please have a review of Hubstaff Blueprint.docx
  • Watched the video about Hubstaff page. Although I already have worked on the blueprint of the page, but I think that doesn't make much difference. In general, the keyword research for Hubstaff isn't good enough, but the topic "Time-Tracking Software" has some really awesome keywords. This keyword research is as good as we can create a Tier 2 page with this.
  • I propose that we create a T2 page for time-tracking software and then review and link all software pages (e.g. Hubstaff, Time doctor, Upwork etc) from there. These individual pages should work as affiliate sales pages and therefore keyword numbers do not matter for these pages.
  • Sent all files that you recently recorded to Abi for transcription.
  • Read the forum post about the page speed optimizations and have started working on it. Already have improved ideal-helper speed from 78% to 92% for desktop site and from 50% to 84% for mobile site. Still some of the suggestions are technical so I will read the supportive material and will discuss this with you before making any changes.
  • Will also implement the process to other sites.
