(*Exclusive of $1.81 charged by oDesk)

Ideal-Helper Homepage Issue:
  • Missing text and images on the Ideal-Helper homepage is still not resolved yet, so I have submitted a ticket to the support team for this issue.
  • I am also aware of the part of instructions where you asked me to change the thumbnail for the outsourcing coaching callout box, but at the moment I haven't changed that at the moment.
  • I have signed up to the Amazon associated associates account and as per the process, they have provided me with a security code that I should send you for further process. I have taken a screenshot of that message, so please find it in the high priority folder (Amazon-associates-code.png)

  • Also fixed the banner link.
  • Fixed the "Earn Money Online Outside the US" page for mobile view. Please review and let me know if you need any changes. I have switched the top columns with each other so that the image comes before the signup form on the mobile devices.

  • As you have asked, I have downloaded the ClickMeter WordPress Plugin for PPG site and also created an account to use that. Login details are updated to the All Login Details.xlsx.

Work Update - Penny Pinching Cookbook Sneak Preview and Aweber List Updates

Overview
Work Period: Nov 12 & 13, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $32.55*
(*Exclusive of $3.62 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Penny Pinching Cookbook Sneak Preview and Aweber List Updates:
  • Since there is a new subscriber to the PPG list, So I've created a short version of the PPG cookbook for the sneak preview. Please have a review of it and let me know if I should change something because I have created this eBook without any instructions.
  • Also changed the existing cookbook cover page slightly for the sneak preview version.
  • Then applied a new template to the Aweber email and also updated the email so that it looks better. I have sent you a test email, so if you find some time, please review and let me know if you need any changes.
  • Also added this email to the scheduled follow-up series.
  • However, I am afraid that the Squeeze page form is still not functional with the Aweber linked account.

Party Games Website Update:
  • De-merged Great Dares for Guys and Girls
  • Before de-merging that I checked the content via Copyscape and one of the comment was duplicate, so I have removed that from the content.

Other Administrative Support:

  • Checked all tasks from the Producteeve account and moved some of the tasks to Trello. Else, most of the tasks were assigned to Jomvie and not required a follow up anymore.
  • After taking care of pending tasks, I have deleted the Producteeve account.
  • Prepared a new batch for proofreading for Hannah, but at the moment it doesn't reach the required word count, so we'll have to wait a bit more in order to send that for proofreading.
  • Thanks for clarifying the Homepage experiment confusion, I have created a clone for the homepage, but having some problems with the content at the moment. The call-out boxes at the bottom are either blank or don't have images and links. In fact when I try to edit the homepage, I found the same problem with that too. However, the live homepage is fine, but playing with the homepage at the moment is a bit risky, because if I changed something on the homepage, we risk losing the content.

  • I assume that this is a temporary glitch and will check this again in a couple of days. If still not resolved, I will create a support ticket for this.
  • Also, checked this from Firefox and it also has similar issues.
  • Watched the recent work update feedback video and published all reviewed work updates after making necessary changes.

Work Update - PPG Ontrapages Squeeze Page Update

Overview
Work Period: Nov 10 & 11, 2015
Hours Worked: 7:30 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $22.63*
(*Exclusive of $2.63 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

PPG Ontrapages Squeeze Page Update:
  • Please take some time to follow the full sign up process for the PPG Cookbook Squeeze page form, because for me it's still not working well. As you have instructed, I have linked the Aweber email to Ontrapages, but I still can't see that working.
  • After linking Ontrapages to Aweber, I have made several sign ups to the form, but neither of them were added to the Aweber's subscribers list. If you check the Subscriber's data within the Aweber settings, you'll see an un-confirmed subscriber there. I am not sure how to confirm this because I think that the Ontrapages form will only work after this confirmation.
  • After your recent feedback, I have tried to sign up to the list using the temporary email. It worked out well. I think the main problem is how to confirm the Ontraport email. If we find a way to confirm that email, I think rest will be automatically taken care of. I have tried to search the topic, but didn't find any solution.
  • Also, I can't find a way to remove  subscribers within the Ontrapages interface. If you see the 'Contact' tab on the Ontrapages admin area, you'll see three sign ups, but there isn't a way to remove these contacts.
  • So please look into this issue and let me know if I am doing something wrong.
  • Next, thank for explaining how we can add a custom URL for the thank you page. I understand that, but for that we need a new thank you page, I have updated to the Trello card for this task.
  • Also We need an individual thank you page for the Aweber list in order to split test Ontrapages and WordPress squeeze page with the Google Analytics.
  • Besides that, Ontrapages also has their own WP plugin, so we can also use that to split test different squeeze pages.

Other Ebook Related Changes
  • Changed sales page as you've mentioned in one of the recent feedback videos
  • Update footer for mobile and desktop separately.
  • Removed search widget from the bottom of the mobile view
  • Created a thank you page for the sneak preview page and linked to the Ontrapages squeeze page
  • Uploaded the ebook to the media library
  • There are also some plugins to manage and secure digital downloads. I have tried one of them which didn't work out well (because it doesn't have any option to customized the page, hide menu and header etc).
  • Here are some of the other plugins and tools.
  • Added eBook banner to the sidebar.
  • Also removed the testimonials part from the squeeze page.

Work Update - PPG Cookbook Squeeze Page feedback

Overview
Work Period: Nov 10, 2015
Hours Worked: 5:00 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $15.75*
(*Exclusive of $1.75 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

PPG Cookbook Squeeze Page feedback.

I am little confused about the PPG Squeeze page and therefore, I need some clarification from your side. As I already mentioned in the previous work update that I have created a squeeze page with the Ontrapages tool, but I am little confused regarding how it will work. I already mentioned this before that we cannot add Aweber forms with this tool and it has its own sign-up form which collects leads. So my question here would be that how we'll connect this page with the Aweber funnel. Do we manually export all emails to the Aweber?

Then another confusion regarding Ontrapages is that with the free account, we cannot customize the thank you page. I have tested the form and when I signed up to the squeeze page, I was redirected to a page with only the text "Form Submitted Thank You".

Next, if we want to split test multiple versions of the squeeze pages (for example, a split test between the normal squeeze page (I made with WP) and the Ontrapages squeeze page via Google analytics, that wouldn't be possible because we cannot add an HTML code into the Ontrapages.

However, this would be possible if we manually export all email data to the Aweber and then set the 'confirmation page' as the destination of the GA goal.

So I can't see a clear working process here and need your feedback on this. Please advise how you plan to work with this procedure.

Update: Thanks for sending quick help for this, I have now linked the Aweber email with the form, but the thank you page is still pending.

PPG Sales Page Update:
  • Created a Sales Page for the CookBook, please review and let me know if you need any changes.
  • Also made all other changes to the eBook that you've asked in a recent work update video.

Other Administrative Support:
  • In a work update video you asked to check if we still have the become the VA somewhere on the site, I have double checked and confirm that this pages isn't embedded anymore on either of the pages. However, there was a pop-up form placed on the main Become a VA page, that I have replaced with an Aweber form.
  • Watched more high priority and work update videos and made necessary changes.
Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
  • Susan has submitted yet another story, so I have published that after minor proofreading and formatting. Please have a review of A Walk in the Park - Part 2.
  • Also added to the Trello card for commenting.
  • Deleted and banned a couple of more spam comments.

Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $32.03*
(*Exclusive of $3.56 charged by oDesk)

PPG Cookbook Updates:
  • Created a cover page for the PPG Cookbook and also made some final changes to the Cookbook ebook draft.
  • Also review the first finalized draft of the cookbook (PPGCookbook v1.pdf) and let me know if you need any further changes to the cookbook.
  • Also created the Sneak Preview sign up page. Please have a review of it and let me know if you need any changes.
  • I made this page manually, so it has a lot of HTML and CSS work involved.
  • Prior to making this page, I also tried some landing page plugins, but neither of them had the option to add Aweber sign up form to it. For example, review this page that I have made with a plugin, but we can't link Aweber form to this sales page plugin. This is a pro feature.
  • As you've asked, I have created an account with Ontrapages and also created a squeeze page with this. Please have a review of it and let me know if you need any further changes.

SBI to WordPress Conversion:
  • Also converted all given pages from SBI to WordPress. Already updated you on this in another email

Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $15.75*

Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

 Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
    • Received a scary story "Red Door, Yellow Door, Any other Color Door!" that I published after slight formatting. Since the story was less than required word count, I have merged it into the "Growing Scary Games Collection"
    • Susan has submitted another story and I have published that as well after some proofreading and formatting. Please have a review of "http://www.dare-up-your-party.com/naked-in-the-streets-of-nyc.html"
    • One of the submission was explicit, so I have moved that into the adult content folder.
Moved all published stories to the Trello card for commenting.

Other Administrative Support:
  • Updated the Budgeting spreadsheet with the income and expense details for the month of September 2015.
  • Made a mini banner type callout box on the Mechanical Turk Outside the US page as you've asked in one of the high priority videos. Also put a similar banner at the bottom of the same page.

  • Then created clone of the page and a Google experiment to split test both these page.
  • Also made other changes you mentioned on the same page as you asked in the video.
  • In the same high priority video you've also asked to split test the homepage callout boxes (above fold), but I couldn't find a way to set up a goal to analyze more than one destination page. To explain this further, you wanted to create a clone of the homepage with no jump tags to the bottom, but to link them directly to their respective tier pages. Please let me know if there is a way to do this.
  • Implemented the Aweber pop-up form on the top 20 high traffic pages of Ideal-Helper.

Work Update - SBI to WordPress Conversion Sales Page

Overview
Work Period: Oct 27 & 28, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:00 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $31.50*
(*Exclusive of $3.50 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

SBI to WordPress Conversion Sales Page Update:
  • Watched the video that you recorded about the WordPress Transfer Sales page and made the following changes:
    • Created the Thank you page as you've asked
    • Created an FBI form and added into the mentioned Thank you page.
    • Also set up the Thank you page for this FBI form.
    • Made all necessary changes you asked in the video within the list settings including adding a logo etc.
    • Changed the format of all WordPress conversion related pages (including thank you page and quotation request page) as per the new design.
    • Prepared the first email draft for the Aweber follow up series. Please review and make the necessary changes.
  • Also, tried and tested the whole process including signing up to the Aweber form and sending more conversion details using the FBI! form. Everything worked out well except a timing issue. Actually the first email I set up on the Aweber is the Followup #1 email which is considered as a welcome message and is automatically being sent to the subscriber immediately he confirms his subscription.

So when I signed up to the Aweber list and directed to the Thank you page which has the FBI form (in which we asked more conversion details i.e number of pages to be converted etc.), I was in process to fill out that form and I already got the first Aweber email which has all the quotation and conversion information.

As I mentioned earlier that this is the Followup #1 email,  therefore we cannot set a delay to this email. I think that FBI form is an extra effort here, we can ask the client this information withing the Aweber sign up form (on the sales page or we can just move the form to a new contact page). In that form, we can add more fields and this way there would be no need to use the FBI! form. I will suggest that you also follow the whole process and you'll experience all the glitches we have. I think a lot of thank you forms, confirmation, and welcome emails will bother the client a bit.
  • More changes made to the SBI to WP sales page:
    • Changed the Aweber from Sign up button
    • Customized and included the footer
  • In another video you've asked about the top navigation links on the conversion page, actually when I made this page, I was not sure if we'll have separate pages for this section so I just used jump tags to fill those links. Please let me know if you want to remove those or replaced them with other pages.
Other Administrative Support:
  • Reviewed and Updated different Trello cards.
  • Quickly watched some of the newly added high priority videos to check if something is super urgent and needs to be done on the highest priority.
  • Copied all links from the Google commenting spreadsheet and put into Trello as following:
    • Linkbuilding
    • Ideal Helper
  • You've also asked to extract the information from Zoho projects to Trello, but unfortunately now I cannot access the Zoho project's Milestone. Can you please share the milestone again with me. Also created the Trello card for this.
  • Reviewed the SBI forum post about "Contact forms not responsive" and also prepared an email draft for that. I have also forwarded this email to the support team and also archived both Trello cards regarding this issue.
  • Watched the work update feedback video and published both reviewed work updates. So all backlog of pending work updates is clear until now.

Work Update - SBI to WordPress Conversion Sales Page

Overview
Work Period: Oct 15 & 16, 2015
Hours Worked: 12:30 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $39.38*
(*Exclusive of $4.38 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

SBI to WP Conversion Sales Page
  • Watched the video about the sales page and made the following changes to it.
    • Hide the original banner, tagline and navbar etc and created another specific banner for this.

    • Make this page as a new site within the Ideal-Helper site based on the example you provided.
    • Created a new navigation menu and temporarily linked the text to jump tags within the page. We can also create more sub-pages based on this page and then link to other pages as well.
    • Illustrated the page with Call-out boxes, images, font styles etc.
    • Added a testimonial box based on the feedback provided by the latest client.
    • Created an Aweber form and added into the page
    • The Header was not responsive for mobile sites, so I found a solution and created a new header for mobile devices.
    • Also some links to mobile banners to show as the Nav-bar.
    • Please review and let me know if you need any changes. Some tasks are pending at your end, so I have updated the Trello card accordingly.

Budgeting Spreadsheet Update:
  • As we discussed in the Skype call, I have updated the budgeting spreadsheet with two new sub-sheets. One is to track the performance of our hard products (eBooks) and other is to review and track our services (BB2 and WP conversion services). Please review and let me know if you need any further assistance.
  • Also created tracker links to track Christmas Truth or Dare alternate banners with the help of Google link shortener service. I have added more details into the Trello card.

Ideal Helper General Feedback Poll
  • Made necessary changes to the Ideal-Helper General Feedback poll and also improved its design by wrapping the form into a call-out box. Please review and validate the Trello card if nothing if it's okay to validate.
  • Added the form into the following pages as you've asked.
  • Also found that some of the FBI forms (including this one) are still not responsive. Did you remember that a couple of months ago we escalated this issue to Sitesell support and they resolved the issue by putting a custom CSS code on the head section of the site, but I think the issue is not yet resolved completely. I have created a 'pending for review' Trello card for you, please review and advise.

Other Administrative Support:
  • Also watched some other videos from the high priority folder and created Trello cards for each task. I have almost cleared the backlog of old videos and only a few videos are left which you have recorded recently.

Work Update - SBI to WordPress Transfer

Overview
Work Period: Sep 15 & 16, 2015
Hours Worked: 12:00 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $37.80*
(*Exclusive of $4.20 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

PPG Site Update:
  • Made the following changes to the PPG site.
    • Changed Nameservers and pointed them to the new host
    • Since all pages were built as nofollow and noindex, so I have now indexed all pages
    • Rechecked for broken images, found a couple of pages where we have some broken images and fixed them.
    • Performed broken link check, the good news is that the site has only a few broken links, but they were general broken link. That means that all inter-linking stuff went well for PPG.
    • Added the Google Analytics tracking ID to PPG site. I chose a little different method to track and used a plugin instead of putting the tracking code to the head of the site. I am not sure how will this work, but we will definitely get to know about this in the coming days.
    • As I sent you all details in an email, both PPG email IDs are also switched to the new hosting. I have also set up email forwarding for both email addresses.
PPG Whois Information Update:
  • Thanks for updating the PPG domain admin and other contact details, I can now see the changes have been updated on the Whois database, but I will make the domain transfer move after a couple of days (Just to ensure that these details are updated everywhere and we don't face any issue while transferring the domain to the new host)
  • I have also researched the Inmotionhosting articles regarding the Whois details and we can also change the contact information from their interface.

SBI to WP Conversion Update:
  • Made all changes asked by the client and also moved more pages from SBI to WordPress, please have a review of Google tracking spreadsheet for more details.

UpWork Inactive Contract Issue:

  • Thanks for showing the concern about my inactive contract. What I will do is to use this contract and log 10-20 minutes occasionally and I will ask you to end this contract after a month.

Adsense Split Tests Update:

  • Google experiments for the following pages have been finished, so I have implemented the changes on the actual pages.
  • Tracking spreadsheet is also updated accordingly.
  • Please note that I didn't renew any of the finished split tests.

Other Administrative Support:

  • Based on a high priority video, I have researched some more hosting services that allow adult content on their servers. Please review the Evernote title: Adult DUYP Hosting
  • There are a couple of spam comment on the party games site, so I have removed and banned all such comments.

Work Update - Content 2.0 Administrative Support

Overview
Work Period: Sep 10 & 11, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $28.35*
(*Exclusive of $3.15 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Content 2.0 Administrative Support:
  • Received some original submissions on the party games site. Since all of them were too short to be published alone, so I have either posted them as a comment or added into another page.
  • Posted one of the received submission as a comment under the Funny Wedgie Stories page
  • Posted another short comment under the Wedgies for a week  page.

Google Analytics Experiments Update:
  • Implemented all winner pages on the party games website.
  • Also updated the tracking spreadsheet, please have a review of Tier Pages Testing.xlsx.

Other Administrative Support:
  • Removed the SBI! Pop-up subscription form from the wedgie page because now it has the Aweber pop up form for the wedgies dare auto-responder.
  • Replaced the old SBI! Dares auto-responder form with the Aweber sign up form on the following pages:
    • Truth or Dares Questions- 1
    • Dares for Truth or Dare 1
    • Dares for Truth or Dares 2
    • Truth or Dare Homepage
    • Dares for Truth or Dare
    • Fun Belly Button Dares
  • After making final changes to PPG site, I am now back to the high priority folder.
  • In one of the video, you asked me to change the position of the bonus dares banner and move it on the top of the fold, but I am little reluctant to do that because this the top earning page and we have split test a lot to use the best ad placement.
  • I then rechecked the statistics for this banner from the Google's in-page analytics and this particular banner has clicked 1229 clicks in the last 30 days.
  • This means that the performance of the banner is very good.  In fact, it has a click through rate of over 88% in the last 30 days. But the conversion rate is almost zero percent for the invitation, so that means we need to improve the invitation in order to get more submissions.
  • Watched some work update feedback videos and published all review work updates.
  • Also read and research SBI! to WordPress domain transfer posts and articles.

Work Update - SBI to WordPress Transfer Update

Overview
Work Period: Sep 01 & 02, 2015
Hours Worked: 10:20 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $38.85*
(*Exclusive of $4.32 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

SBI to WordPress Transfer Update:
  • Transferred more pages from SBI to WordPress.
  • Thanks for providing feedback for this conversion. In reply to your question about moving party games C2 content to WordPress, I don't think that this would take much long. In fact, this would be rather easy since we'll only have to copy the content from SBI editor, paste into the WP editor, re-upload images and give some finishing touch to the post. That's it. I think that one blog post will not take more than 8-10 minutes on average.
  • PPG is an exception because mostly it uses uploaded pages, formatting of the old pages is also very bad with a lot of broken paragraphs (no proper html formatting used to break lines) and now SBI is also changing the image names (due to site speed optimization) and therefore it's taking a little more time to convert.
  • Else the best way to move pages is to identify and copy the HTML source code of the page, paste into WP, re-upload images and fine-tune it. I think sites like Ideal-Helper would take less than 10 minutes per page.
  • Since this is my first conversion too, so I am also taking a bit more time because I also research plugins (like SEO tool and breadcrumb tool etc) and I have also encountered some design issues which I was able to fix after some research.
  • Added EU cookie policy note to the WP site.
  • Changed the Avatar image from default to Grandma's sketch.
  • Found another issue when I realized that tier 3 pages have a different URL structure because WP also adds the parent page slug e.g. www.sitename.com/parentpage/currentpage.html
  • Again I researched for a solution and found a plugin to solve this issue.

Work Update - SBI to WP Transfer Update

Overview
Work Period: Aug 27 & 28, 2015
Hours Worked: 11:10 @$3.50/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $35.18*
(*Exclusive of $3.91 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

SBI to WP Transfer Update:

  • Finally, I researched a find a way to log into the WordPress dashboard without changing the nameserver.
  • The solution is to install the WordPress on your temporary URL, and then editing the wp-config.php file in the cPanel file manager.
  • Note that after we move all of our content to the WordPress and change the nameserver, then we have to restore the wp-config.php file to it's actual version. Only after then, we can access the WordPress dashboard using the usual PPG-wp-login URL.
  • So now you can log into the WP dashboard
  • Then I installed a free theme. Sue Huckle has recommended this theme (Weaver II) in her article about SBI to WordPress Transfer.
  • Then manually transferred the PPG homepage to WP as a page.
  • I also changed the permalink structure and made it identical to SBI i.e. HTML at the end of each URL.
  • Also made some other design changes and updated the theme to it's latest version.
  • Also installed a plugin for SEO called Seo cost. This is a very handy tool and helps you a lot in order to improve your SEO.
  • Note that initially I used a pretty simple theme design and then I moved to a better one and also fine-tuned that a bit. I think the site is looking much better now. Isn't it?

Changes Made After Your Feedback Video
  • Updated the footer after your feedback
  • Please note that this workaround is the proper way of doing it as I've researched the workaround within the Inmotion hosting support articles.
  • As you asked, I have tried to upload a couple of pages to the new hosting using an FTP tool. Again, it was little challenging because at the moment we are using a temporary URL and our main FTP server is not accessible at the moment, so I researched a lot in order to find the workaround.
  • Finally, I successfully transferred a couple of pages to the new hosting, but we cannot edit these pages from WP dashboard. So we can transfer the entire site using an automated tool, but we cannot edit our pages from WordPress.
    • I researched some more on this topic and found that there are some plugins that can transfer your HTML pages into WP. I installed and used one of them, but the finished results were extremely bad.
    • Now as you've asked, I am manually uploading pages to WP and have added 11 pages so far. Please have a review of high priority\Financials of Pennypinching\PPG WP Uploaded.xlsx.
    • Uploading pages from the navigation bar and also updating the WP site navigation bar as well, so have a review and let me know if you need any changes.
