(A screenshot from today's work diary)
  • Reviewed the work sample articles submitted by Denise, they look really good and I have also checked three of them via copyscape to confirm their originality. Two of them completely passed, one of them has only one short sentence that was matched with some other websites as well.
Ideal-Helper Administrative Support:
  • Watched work feedback video for Blogger updates, made necessary changes, removed unnecessary links and then published all pending work updates.

  • Also watched the video about Authpro code, researched and tested a lot for Java to HTML and Java to iFrame converters but nothing worked out. So I think we only have one solution to use Blockbuilder pages as secured pages.
  • Thanks for providing feedback for pending Google work updates, I have watched long video and made all necessary changes. Most of them were to make notes to future blogposts folder.
  • Cleaned up safelist related keywords from Ideal-Helper Master Keywords List

  • Abi has transcribed a SBI! forum post comment, so I have reviewed and re-formatted it and then submitted to the said SBI forum post, please have a review.Added 1 hour manual time because logged into another work diary - I have saved the diary screenshots of this time to Dropbox in the high priority folder
  • Abi has finished the interview transcription between you and Kimberly. There were lots of missing words since Abi is not aware of most of technical terms therefore I tried to proofread them as much as I can, but still there is much more and needs to be reviewed by you. Please review the transcript in the folder: Dropbox/high priority\Peer-to-Peer Call kimberly
BB1 to BB2 Conversion Process:
  • http://tools.sitesell.com/Francis36.htmlIn reply to question where you asked if its possible to create more copies of BB1 pages, I have successfully experimented this before, but sorry that I couldn’t explain it in a better way, Here I have explained it again in detail:
    • First I changed the filename of an existing BB1 page (changed contact-page.html to contact-page-bb1.html) and built this new page BB1
    • Then, I converted this newly file-name changed BB1 page into a newly created BB2 and named it as contact-page.html
    • After building this new BB2 page, I went back to the BB1 page (contact-page-bb1.html) and made that ‘nofollow’ ‘noindex’
    • Now we have two contact pages:
      • http://..../contact-page.html which is now the original contact page.
      • http://..../contact-page-bb1.html which is nofollow and noindex and can be used as a training page for BB2 conversion job.
  • You further asked that is it possible to create more BB1 pages out this contact-page-bb1.html (for example contact-page-bb1-001, contact-page-bb1-002. Obviously now its not possible to build any new BB1 pages, but as we already have a lot of BB1 pages so we can convert most of them to BB2 and can keep a copy of all those pages for training purpose.

Work Update - Hiring Process of a Full-time Virtual Assistant

Overview
Work Period: Jan 27th, 2014
Hours Worked: 5:10 @$2.22/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $10.33*
(*Exclusive of $1.14 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

  • Watched the video about hiring a full-time VA, transcribed the email and sent to the following 4 candidates:

    • John
    • Marvin
    • Denise
    • Devine
  • Watched another long video where you have discussed some more tasks and ideas for the full-time VA.
  • Also watched interview feedback video about interview with Denise and also listened to the interview between you and her.
  • In the interview conversation between you and Denise, you also discussed payments.ph for sending payments to Philippines. I have researched it a bit more and found out that their fee is more than $5 if you use a Visa or Mastercard. Please have a review of their comple fee structure: http://www.payments.ph/fees.php
  • I have researched some more payment methods to send out payments to Philippines and here are some results:
    • Xoom.com
    • remitly.com
    • Paypal
    • hyperremit.com

Work Update - Screening of Candidates for a Full-time VA

Overview
Work Period: Jan 23 & 24, 2014
Hours Worked: 10:40 @$2.22/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $21.33*
(*Exclusive of $2.35 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

  • Reviewed hundreds of virtual assistant profiles from onlinejobs.ph, shortlisted some more candidates and added to VA Profiles.docx. Although you have asked to research 10 more candidates but as I mentioned earlier that I reviewed hundreds of candidates but only shortlisted those who are best matched to our criteria.
  • Thanks for providing feedback about my research for Virtual Assistants profiles. I have updated the existing VA Profiles.docx. In fact I have created a new Excel-sheet in which I have summarized all candidates alongwith some necessary information. I think that an excel format would help you more during the hiring process and analyzing different candidates. Please review VA Profiles Updated.xlsx into the Dropbox.

Ideal-Helper Website Update:
  • Updated all information on Ideal-Helper Homepage same as Index-3 page. Since it was not possible to move content from one page to another as advised by SBI! tips post because content on Index-3 page has a lot of anchor links that need to be redirected to index page instead of index-3 page, therefore I have manually rebuild most of the content on the homepage again.

  • Watched the other long feedback video about Google drive pending work updates and made advised changes.
  • About the broken link ‘Catch for Android’ which we have used on Voice Transcription page, unfortunately catch.com has closed and shut down their service. Here is one blog post that specifies more details about their discontinuation of service: http://www.androidcentral.com/catch-notes-service-shutting-down-after-aug-30
  • I forgot to mention this in my previous work update about grammarly.com, I think this is a good service and we can take a lot of benefit from this. I don’t know how good it would work, but I suggest that if you are looking to buy a paid subscription then first please buy it only for a month and we will test it by improving existing website content and will then see how much quality grammarly can add to the existing content.
  • About sharesales.com login information, unfortunately I don’t have login details associated with party games website. Since the account is associated with your private email address therefore I have transcribed the email draft and saved to High Priority folder as Shareasale-Draft.docx

Party Games Website Update:
  • Removed the said content from Ideas for birthday party page because the affiliate link is now permanently broken. Created a new folder with the High Priority folder and moved the removed content to that.

Work Update - Implementation of Adsense on Content 2.0 Pages

Overview
Work Period: Jan 21 & 22, 2014.
Hours Worked: 10:20 @$2.22/hour
Money Paid to Me (Virtual Assistant): $20.67*
(*Exclusive of $2.27 charged by oDesk)
Overall Difficulty of Tasks: Medium

Adsense
  • Watched the video about implementation of Adsense Ads to Ideal-Helper, read the SBI! help & strategies about the AdsenseIt! module and then activated Adsense on Ideal-Helper.
  • Since after implementation of Adsense ads there were a lot of formatting issues with text and especially with images, so I rechecked all content 2.0 pages and fixed all formatting issues by changing their aggressiveness level.

  • Also as we have changed the layout of Ideal-Helper therefore I found some formatting issues with C2 posts related to Outsourced Job hunt diary. Actually the navigation at the bottom of each page needs to be fixed, so I did the needful.
http://www.dare-up-your-party.com/truth-or-dare-blog.html

Party Game Website Members Only Area Beta Testing:
  • About another questions where you asked about using Authpro on an existing content page, yes its possible to use Authpro code on an existing content page. If we simply use the Authpro secure code on the header of that specific content page, then we can turn that page into a password protected page.
  • Further I already have created a similar tier page (Password protected with Authpro). So if you go ahead and open this page, then you will see that you will be asked to either enter your login and password or you can sign up for a new account.
  • I have also added a C2 invitation to this members only page which is working fine, but C2 posts are not visible under the C2 form.

    Update:
Thanks for quickly providing a solution for this. I can see that its working now. I have tried to add the Authpro code into the C2 post, but unfortunately its a Javascript code and we cannot put such codes on Content 2.0 posts. I have also tried to get some help from SBI! forums but couldn't find a viable solution.
  • Also researched through Authpro help and FAQ pages for a possible solution, but could not find a solution.
  • Another problem I often face on this Members only page is that often it's background color is blue. Please see the screenshot below how it looks like often when I open it on my Chrome browser. I have checked all HTML codes but did not find any issue there. I have refreshed the page several times but it did not worked out. However, working fine on Firefox browser at the same time.

Ideal-Helper Administrative Support:
  • Updated SBI! Vocabulary.xlsx with the help of Ken's acronyms list.
  • Researched some more Filipino candidates, but did not bookmarked any of them. Instead added them into Dropbox\VA Profiles.docx
  • About a question where you asked me the time I saved by directly putting my work updates into Blogger instead of Google Drive, I think one work update takes at least 20 minutes to be uploaded into the Blogger interface, so by putting them directly into the Blogger, I easily save more than one hour each week.

Party Games Website Update:
  • Here are recently published icebreaker games:
    • Two Truths and a Lie
    • It's a Bird! It's a Plane! It's a... Tablecloth?!
  • Distributed more pages via RSS feed.

  • Watched other videos related to hiring a full-time VA from the Philippines. As you asked, I have closely reviewed all virtual assistant profiles bookmarked by you and assessed each of them according to my abilities and experience.

I have created a document where I have shortlisted some of the bookmarked assistants and tried to provide some Pros and Cons for each individual assistant as per my thoughts. Please have a review of  Dropbox\VA Profiles.docx.
